I have an issue I would love your input on. Please watch this brief video and then respond in the comments section or email me….really looking forward to your thoughts!
Hi, Krysta, I work part time from home and so I keep a loose schedule to make sure that I get my work done. I set my alarm during the week and tend to wake up at the same time. For me at 7:30, but then I don’t go to sleep until 1130 or so. Even when I worked, I often worked from home and had a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I have meetings and commitments, but it’s been 20 years since I’ve had to go into the office every day, I think that in itself allows for a lot of flexibility. I think the question for me is not as much. what schedule do I keep as what routine do I follow? I would like to be a little bit more rigid about when I have my meals and when I get exercise and so forth. It’s easy for those things to fall away without having them set on a schedule. But I very much appreciate the flexibility I have..
This is an interesting topic, and I'm interested in reading the comments. I'm always on deadlines -- either set by work or self-imposed -- and would like to find strategies for not feeling ruled by them.
