This reminds me my last 18 years of sobriety has brought me to a level of acceptance where there is very little drama in my life. "Adventure" without the drama! Yes, some would call it boring while I feel the serenity. Even when I briefly slip into my old default of dramatic controlling behavior I am now deliciously able, at 75, to accept that the universe has made other plans for me and I get to be reminded I must not be too dang old to learn new ways of being. Oh, and about the disposal; that happened 3 days ago while visiting friends in Phoenix. I could tell it was stressing our young friends to have this interfere with all the activities they had planned for the day. My husband and I were able to help (we have much experience along these lines) and the whole repair process actually felt like it further bonded our friendship. Life is good.
